Rosalie was my great-grandmother. She was born in 1921, the year Molise was still part of Abruzzi e Molise, and she lived long enough to see me finish college. Most of what I know about the Radicellas, I know because she remembered it.

  • Born December 30, 1921; died October 10, 2020, at 98.
  • Daughter of Gioacchino "Jack" Radicella and Anna Costanzo, who came from Monreale, Sicily.
  • Married Peter L. Scimone. Their children: Lauretta (my grandmother), Anthony, Anna Marie and John.
  • Her siblings were Jerry, Frank, Cecelia and Josephine. Jerry spelled the name Radicelli.
  • Her sister Josephine married Peter John Stamatis Sr. in 1947.
02 — What I'm still verifyingDa verificare
  • Where exactly she was born — Cleveland is family recollection; I haven't found the record.
  • Which of her grandchildren belong to which of her children. Eight names are still "parent not yet assigned" in the tree.
  • Her father's dates. "c. 1886–1955" is an online lead, not a document.
